Diana Anderson, Violinist and Music Educator, has been a Core Musician for the Toledo Symphony for over 40 seasons. Diana Anderson is also a founding teacher of the Toledo School for the Arts, where she was the director of String Orchestras, Mariachi Ensemble and Guitar for 23 years. Currently, Diana Anderson serves as a Community Engagement Educator for the Toledo Symphony’s Music in Our Schools program, visiting schools such as Whitmer High School, Start High School, and Woodward High School on a weekly basis. Diana Anderson grew up near New York City, and attended the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory Program in high school, followed by degree studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music in the studios of David Cerone and Bernhard Goldschmidt, of The Cleveland Orchestra. Diana maintains a large one-on-one teaching studio in Sylvania as well as at the Toledo School for the Arts. Diana Anderson has Suzuki Association of the Americas teacher certification in both Violin and Classical Guitar. Diana Anderson is a member of Music Education associations, NAFSME, OMEA, ASTA and SAA and holds a current Ohio Professional 5-year Teaching License. Anderson was fortunate to be raised in a home full of string musicians and learned to love string chamber music from a very young age by rehearsing and performing with family. Diana Anderson hopes to continue to foster the love of music through the significant relationships it can create. Diana Anderson lives in Sylvania, OH with her husband, violist Reed Anderson.
