Jonathan Emilian Heck (*1994) is a German composer and violinist. He received his first violin lessons at the age of six. He later added the trumpet and piano as further instruments. He completed his acting studies in 2016 and initially worked as an actor and speaker at various German-speaking theaters. However, his passion for music ultimately led him to focus on composing. In 2019, he was signed to Sony Classical Germany as a violinist. Heck has worked with international choreographers such as Craig Davidson, Alexander Abdukarimov and Christopher Marney and with dancers from the Staatsballett Berlin, the English National Ballet and the Zurich Ballet. His pieces have been performed in Germany, Switzerland, England, Japan, Australia and others. In 2022, his composition “Fantasy for Violin and Piano” was part of the winning team of the Fanny Mendelssohn Preis. In 2022/23, he was musical director and arranger no tour with the German singer Danger Dan, accompanying him with his string quartet „Heck Quartett“. Concert venues included Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Isarphilharmonie München, Tonhalle Zürich, Konzerthaus Berlin and others. In 2024 he accompanied grammy award singer Laufey in Berlin with Heck Quartett. He also was section leader of the 2nd violins, accompanying Adele in her Munich concert series. Heck has a guest appearance in the last two episodes of the TV show „The Piano“ as arranger and violinist.
