Liesl Kraft is 17 years old and has recently completed her high school education. She began dancing at the age of two under Cassandra Macino, where she fell in love with classical ballet. She then trained for six years under Gail Choate-Petit and quickly completed her Cecchetti exams with highest honors through Grade Five. She did a year of Balanchine training before switching to Russian training where she thrived. She trained privately for two years under former Bolshoi ballerina, Irina Vasileni. This is her second season with Toledo Ballet where she has grown so much under the tutelage and guidance of Eric and Laura Otto. Liesl loves to attend intensives and will be spending time dancing in NYC and then joining Sarasota Ballet with Christopher Hird this summer. In her spare time, Liesl loves to do Pilates, crochet, bake and cook, hang out with her best friends, and spend time with her seven siblings. Dancing the role of Snow White is a dream come true as that has always been her favorite princess. Liesl is so excited to be dancing with four of her siblings and is especially thankful to Eric and Laura Otto for trusting her with such an amazing opportunity.
